ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAD
TRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIP!
That's
right ladies and gents, yours truly and her boyfriend
fiancé (yay!) have decided at the last minute, to road trip to
Fetish Factory, Florida, (I am writing this as if FF is a city, and
for one weekend it is!) to go to their Anniversary weekend.
We
really wanted to go, especially as this year Glenn and Donna (the
owners of Fetish Factory) managed to have a whole hotel reserved, and
that's something as a fetishist you really do not want to miss. But
as new business owners, it didn't make sense financially, so we
decided against it.
But
as the events got closer, we had different phone calls from companies attending and we had many good opportunities to do good business
that were offered to us, so we racked our brains to find a way to go.
The
idea came from Seb: as the expensive thing is often the airfare, he mentioned as a joke that we could drive. But it's a three day drive
(two if you really hit the pedal and do not break often) so six days
to travel for three days of vacation seemed ridiculous.
BUT.
I
was determined to go. Not even for business reasons. Truth be told,
I've been working my ass off for three years now with very little
downtime and my body and mind have been telling me in no uncertain
terms for a little while now that it needs some R&R thus I've set
my mind to making this thing work!
So
let's see...What we have is a car, some friends and a shitload of resourcefulness. After a few phone calls, it seemed that in between
people that owed us favours and others that were willing to do us
some, we could manage to take 12 days off, which is plenty for us to
turn this weekend into a road trip!
Plus,
our polyphasic sleeping comes in very handy (if you have no idea what
I am talking about, check out my blog on the subject) as we'll be
able to drive at night and sight see during the day, allowing us to
forgo the use of a hotel, making this trip dirt cheap!
The
plan: leave Montreal on Thursday around 3am and drive like crazy to
get to Florida Friday.
Then
get cleaned up at the hotel where we'll get a room for the weekend as
I just don't see myself getting ready for a fetish party in the car!
Although, come to think of it, I've already done this to go to a
party in NY...but the experience is not one I wish to repeat unless
necessary.
After
the weekend, we'll head down south to Key West and drive all along
the east coast to get back home, stopping by NY to stay with our
amazing friends Mike and Flouer, who are some of my favourite people in the world.
Mike is one of the
most decent man I have ever met, but let that not make you think he
is anything but a hardcore player. He's like the energizer bunny and
keeps going and going and going...
Flouer is an awesome
dichotomy as she is both sweet and completely twisted (in a good way). Also, the naive look makes it awesomely cool to watch her give the best lap dances one has ever
seen.
Another reason to end our trip in NY is to enjoy Tribe's
Suspension party. We're especially looking forward to that, as we've
heard nothing but good things about this soirée and that's really
rare. Also, through the last years, we've made friends with some
amazing people from NY and around but seeing each other at fetish
parties makes it really hard to really connect so this time around,
we'll be sure to make time to see our beloved friends :)
