There can be many health problems associated with corset wearing, if it is not appropriately made or worn, especially if you want to do tight lacing. A tight-laced corset worn on a daily basis for a couple of years will push your ribs significantly in and up, altering the position of the natural organs and will forever alter your body. So think twice before engaging yourself in such a task. However if you decide to go down that road, the first thing is to use patience, as rushing into this won’t make your waist thinner, it will only be dangerous and unhealthy. The second thing is to make sure you buy proper corsetry made by professionals; they will help you safely attain that waistline you are patiently working on.

Ok, I’ll stop being grim and will tell you that on the bright side, wearing a corset can be a very pleasant sensation. I know it is for me! It feels like a well-laced shoe and not only does it make you look great, it also helps your posture. Additionally a properly fitting corset can relieve some pressure from the lower back, making it less painful for some. I noticed that when I wear a corset to go out, even if I dance all night my back doesn’t hurt the following day (which it normally does because I have light back problems)
